November 2024
FALL
is most definitely here, I can tell, I have leaves all over my lawn that I have to pick up, and they aren’t MY leaves, I have no trees in my yard, lol. I think my neighbors must think I need them, so they are sharing. I am feeling the love and blisters on my hands. November is a great month. We celebrate All Saints Day on the 1st, set our clocks back an hour on the 2nd (before you go to bed, of course), Election Day on the 5th and Thanksgiving Day on the 28th. Now that is a packed month. Let’s take a look at how we start the month. The 1st of November is All Saints Day. A day that we remember all who the Lord has called home to their blessed rest.
Revelation 7:13-17
13Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?” 14I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15“Therefore they are before the throne of God,
and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.
16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore;
the sun shall not strike them,
nor any scorching heat.
17For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd,
and He will guide them to springs of living water,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
It is good to remember our loved ones, even if it brings a tear to our eyes. What God tells us is that there is great hope, and that hope is a life with no more sin, sorrow, pain, suffering and tears -- a day that will bring joy, celebration and reunion with our beloved ones. And the big thing is that it will never end. Because Christ and all He has done for us, we now will enjoy our eternal rest. I won’t lie, I like the sound of that! I miss my mom and look forward to seeing her again. I wonder if we will rake leaves? I don’t know the answer to that one, so for now I better go get me some new work gloves, there are a lot of trees in my neighborhood and the leaves sure like my lawn.
I pray you all have a blessed November. God bless you today and always.
