                    Maps

I’m about to ask a question that will reveal your age. Do you know how to fold a map? “LOL” If you say yes and can tell me how, “YOU’RE OLD”.  If you look at me and arch your eyebrow and say “fold, what do you mean fold, you can’t fold map quest, you tap the app and turn it on” you’re not that old. We use maps to help us to get to places that we don’t know the best route.

Hey Jesus, where are we going? Oh, and are we there yet? Of course, the response is “Don’t make me pull over and turn this car around”.

John 14:1-6

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

There is so much in our lives that it is hard to stay focused on Christ. The world and even in the USA there is such trouble that takes our attention and brings questions and doubt about how God is in our lives. I will be the first to tell you that today is a good day for the Lord to take us home to eternal life. Jesus reminds us “let not your hearts be troubled”.  The readings for the up-and-coming Sundays will focus on Christ who has fulfilled all things and what await us. We don’t need a map; Jesus knows the way. I do love an old map, but not for directions, it just looks cool. Continue to hold firm to our Faith and that faith is Christ Jesus who has saved us. He will come again, and I promise you it will be the best day ever!

God bless you today and always.
